Rare Earth's version of Get Ready is better than The Temptations' version.

A lot of people like Eddie Kendricks' vocal and his pitch along with his vocal range since his voice goes up very high. That's because it could be a Miracles song as well since Smokey Robinson wrote it.

Ferris Beuller's version of Twist & Shout. Okay, what I mean is, while I don't believe I have ever heard the original version of Twist & Shout, I have a hard time believing that anyone could play and SING it better than The Beatles. Can you confirm that, John_8581?

The Isley Brothers did the original "Twist and Shout" in 1961.

"Jumping Jack Flash" - Leon Russell's version of the Rolling Stones classic was outstanding at the Concert for Bangladesh.

Joe Cocker / Mad Dogs and Englishmen (Leon Russell, Chris Stainton, Carl Radle, Jim Gordon, Jim Keltner, Don Preston, Bobby Keys, Jim Horn and Jim Price) had some outstanding covers of these songs:

"The Letter" (The Box Tops), "Feelin' Alright" (Traffic) "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window" and "With A Little Help From My Friends (The Beatles)
