Now that the off-season is in full swing. Let's review last year's initial post:
The Rangers hijacked Degrom from the Mets with a five-year deal worth $185m. Once Judge signs this deal will be on the back pages, but I feel like Texas overpaid. Would Verlander be able to soothe the wound for Mets fans? Verlander and Scherzer would be an intriguing one-two punch at the top of the rotation.

This year the Bucs picked up Carlos Santana for nearly $7m (https://www.mlb.com/news/free-agent-carlos-santana-to-pirates). They believe the lack of shifting will help improve upon his 2022 slash line of .202/.316/.376.it would be easy to overlook the Orioles signing Rougned Odor and the Pirates picking up Jose Quintana.

Improvement was seen as the loss count was only 100.The Bucs only lost 101 in 2021. 2022 isn’t looking much better at this point.
